There are SubPaths. But it's more for role play and won't have any effect on hunting/PvP.
So this guide is just for you to know about the basic gameplay, that is you can play as pure class/hybrid (dual class).
Read all below for better understanding.
YOU WILL BE CONFUSED IF YOU SKIP/DIDN'T READ ALL.
THIS IS NOT NTK/PN/NEXIA. SO PLEASE DO READ ALL.
Mage
A class that attacks from far.
The basic spells to attack, utilize the AoE (Area of Effect) system.
In which the spell cause damages to surrounding target with area shape depends on the spell.
Mage have the ability to weakens the enemy defense, paralyze, and sleep the target.
Mage can attack using a special attack which damage is based on the stats.
Mage is the only class that can hunt solo effectively,
But they can't hunt as fast as a warrior that is supported by mage and poet.
Poet
Poet is a support and healer class.
Also the weakest class to hunt.
They can hunt solo by morphing to animal form.
Poet is the only class that can heal another class/player.
Poet can resurrect another dead player.
They also have a spell to increase group member defense.
For their protection, poet have a 'immune to damage' spell with a chance to fail when casting.
Rogue
Rogue is a ranged melee class.
Apart from their ability to jump to their target's back,
They can also hit all target, 1 line in front of them.
Rogue get additional damage from poison, sold by NPC.
Rogue is the only class that have invisibility spell, allowing rogue to physically disappear from another player.
This class also have a spell to increase their melee damage (damage multiplier) but not as strong as warrior's.
The advantage of this class is that they can move through a swarm of monster without wasting time killing them.
Rogue also have several traps such as bomb, poison, and sleep.
Rogue does not have any spell to replenish their mana, so they have to rely on poet/item.
Warrior
This class is a melee/tank type.
This class has the best melee damage and the best armor.
It's pretty easy to play this class. Just cast several spell and hold space bar to attack.
Warrior have a spell to hit targets on all 4 sides of the warrior.
Warrior also have a spell to increase their melee damage gradually.
This class also capable to taunt/provoke monster.
Warrior have the weakest healing spell and may need poet/item to replenish their mana.
Things you need to know in general:
- At level 99, you will have to choose whether staying pure to that class or change your current class to another.
- You cannot sell your exp before choosing that.
- You cannot leech lower level player if level differences are more than 15.
- ETK encourages solo hunt/hunt in small groups. So bigger groups will get bigger exp penalty.
- There are a lot of places for newly 99 to hunt solo. However, you will eventually may need to be in a small group.
- You can solo hunt from level 1 to level 99. However, 2 players are always better than 1.
- By stats, Il San requires you to have 200.000 vita or 100.000 mana. (Explanation about Il San below and you should read it)
- There are scheduled mini-games/events you can join to get exp if you are lazy to hunt.
I recommend to join them only after you are level 45++, when hunting may be slower than joining such events.
Things you need to know as a hybrid class:
- Sacrifice all exp at level 99 to change your class.
- Changing class will reset your level back to 1.
- You will retain all of the spells you have learn from your first class.
- The last/2nd class you choose will determine your armor class and gears your can equip.
Example: From warrior changing to poet. You will end up in poet gear, no longer able to equip warrior's gear.
Think carefully the order of your hybrid.
- The last/2nd class you choose will determine any additional spells you can learn later.

- You can learn spells from your earlier class if you missed them, but only if you fulfill the level prerequisite.
So learn all the spells you want before changing your class.
- You do not need to remove any gear you have equipped before changing your class. So learn all the spells you want before changing your class.
Your armor and spells will lead you to overpower any low hunting cave. Easy to level back up to level 50++.
But once you accidentally removed them, you will no longer able to equip them.
But once you accidentally removed them, you will no longer able to equip them.
- You cannot reverse/undo the changes you have made. Pick your class wisely.
Things you need to know as a pure class:
- Sacrifice 200.000.000 exp to stay pure class.
- Level stays at 99.
- Some spells are improved/better mechanics for pure.
- Better gears compared with non-pure class of the same class. (Upgrade from NPC).
- Get additional spells that are better and improved compared with non-pure class of the same class.
- You cannot reverse/undo the changes you have made. Pick your class wisely.
Pure Vs Hybrid Comparison
Comparison | Hybrid | Pure |
Solo Hunt / PvE | + | ++ |
PvP | ++ | + |
Damage | +/++/+++ Depends on the combo | ++ |
Pure get better spells that benefit more in hunting.
While dual class/hybrid is more fun to play with in PvP.
Moreover, pure spell mechanics allow them to have "simple/relax" hunting,
compared to hybrid that may have more spells to cast to match Pure damage per second.
Non-pure class Vs Pure and what do they get
comparisons can only be done between the pure and the non-pure of the same class.
I will call them as bonus spell here to avoid confusion.
Bonus spells are the spells you can learn depends on your current class (pure/2nd class of hybrid),
in which the NPC will only offer them after you have chosen to stay pure or hybrid.
There is no way to compare two different classes, let alone 2 hybrids.
So please stop asking which hybrid/class is the best.
I'm serious, stop asking which class is the best.
Choose them based on how you want to play this game.
The non pure part describes what you can get for additional spells (bonus spell) if you end up as non-pure of that class (your 2nd picked class), regardless of your 1st class.
Remember, you can only learn bonus spell of your 2nd class, not your 1st class.
Mages:
Non-pure (poet --> mage / rogue --> mage / warrior --> mage):
- Lesser Gust, an AoE spell (lower damage than the pure ones)
- Get a better healing spell.
Pure:
- Room SC + 5 seconds room paralyze in 1 spell.
- Gust spell, a high damage AoE spell.
- Get a better healing spell.
- Hell Fire spell improved to hitting up to 5 targets (4 surroundings the main target).
- Can walk while meditate (mana regen spell)
- Mana shield absorb 100% damage.
- Mana shield protects meditate effect. Meditate effect won't off if hit while mana shield is on.
- Get bind spell, a 40 seconds paralyze.
Poets:
Non-pure (mage --> poet / rogue --> poet / warrior --> poet):
- Get lesser Restore, a healing spell based on stats.
- Get Serenity spell, an automatic healing spell that heals target over time.
- Get better target-able heal.
Pure:
- Get Self resurrection spell (Morph to angel mode, have some other healing spell and better resurrection while in angel mode).
- Get Serenity spell, an automatic healing spell that heals target over time.
- Get restore spell, a healing spell based on stats.
- Get shield spell, a target-able "ignore damage" spell that is based on stats of the caster.
- Get better target-able heal.
Rogues:
Non-pure (mage --> rogue / poet --> rogue / warrior --> rogue):
- Get a better healing spell.
Pure:
- Get to summon a clone that can attack enemies. Clone is also invisible.
- Get a "Permanent invisible". You will not be visible while invisible after hitting a target.
The said invisible has also higher damage multiplier.
- Get to use higher damage/better poison.
- Get better heal spell.
Warriors
Non-pure (mage --> warrior / poet --> warrior / rogue --> warrior):
- Currently none.
Pure:
- No defense penalty upon using rage.
- Flank hit all 8 tiles surrounding you.
- Get a room taunt spell.
READ ABOUT IL SAN BELOW
IL SAN
Ignore this blue text if you know what is Il San.
If you have played another online RPG and they have 2nd job. Il San is like 2nd job.
There will be a point when you can "upgrade" your character to a better one, a better class.
We call those upgraded ones as Il San, not 2nd job.
Il San is achieved when you have 200.000 Vita or 100.000 Mana.
Il San can be considered as a new mechanic rather than some additional bonus/improved spell.
It's a whole new experience!
Why?
There are significant changes to the spells.
Some class got new spells, some got a new gameplay, some got much more spell improvement / better mechanics.
Your current class (pure/hybrid) will determine what Il San class you will be.
Il San class is composed of these class:
- Archer (Il San of pure rogue)
- Bard (Il San of Poet Rogue / Rogue Poet)
- BattleMage (Il San of Mage Warrior / Warrior Mage)
- Berserker (Il San of Rogue Warrior / Warrior Rogue)
- Cleric (Il San of Pure Poet)
- Crusader (Il San of Pure Warrior)
- Shaman (Il San of Mage Poet / Poet Mage)
- SpellBlade (Il San of Mage Rogue / Rogue Mage)
- Summoner (Il San of Pure Mage)
- Paladin (Il San of Poet Warrior / Warrior Poet)
If you are | You will be |
Pure Mage | Summoner |
Pure Poet | Cleric |
Pure Rogue | Archer |
Pure Warrior | Crusader |
Mage Poet / Poet Mage | Shaman |
Mage Rogue / Rogue Mage | SpellBlade |
Mage Warrior / Warrior Mage | BattleMage |
Poet Rogue / Rogue Poet | Bard |
Poet Warrior / Warrior Poet | Paladin |
Warrior Rogue / Rogue Warrior | Berserker |
Is there any differences when Il San between their pre-Il San hybrids?
No. Il San can be considered as a class change.
When you choose to be BattleMage, you are BattleMage.
You are no longer mage warrior. You are not warrior mage.
You are now on its own class, battle mage.
In fact, you WILL LOSE ALL your essential spells.
You can learn BattleMage spells. Not warrior spells, not mage spells.
So now, since each Il San class is specific from their previous class.
You can choose what Il San class you want/like then you determine the pre-Il San class.
Example, you want to be a bard.
Now you decide whether a mage rogue or a rogue mage is suit more to your playstyle.
Now, which Il San class you think you will like?
You can view the spells and decide which class you will like.
Unfortunately, I haven't make any guide for Il San spells due to constant re-balancing.
That guide won't happen soon. So you can use this spell guide for now.

Since that guide is not mine, any inaccuracies would not be on my end.
