Skill for crafting here is using a crafting spell. That spell can be learned in Guri Blacksmith (86,34).
Before you can raise other skill, your character will need some exp first (SP = skill point).
Each skill has its own SP, depends on the skill you do.
To get some starting SP. Buy some pickaxe and axe.
Keep in mind, basic tool break easily, buy plenty.
Equip the tool and look for ore / tree you can cut.
If it's hard to spot, use "tab" button or "v" to lock target.
Ore can be found in Ancient Forest (few in pyramid area) and plenty in hunting caves (crypt, titan cave, etc).
Cut-able tree can be found in Ancient Forest (few, random spawn) and plenty in Tokori / Trundel Wilderness.
ETK principle is, more rewarding in places with danger/risk to die.
So places with monster spawn will always have more ores/trees.
If you already get 200 SP.
Use the crafting spell and choose "Spend SP".
Choose Metallurgy for ore and Carpentry for wood/tree.
Raise the mining/harvesting skill first so you can mine other type of ore/cut other type of tree.
The higher the mining skill, the faster and more raw materials you get.
Smelting and Woodworking are the manufacturing skills, processing the raw materials.
Manufacturing materials (whether successfully or failed) will reward you with SP.
The raw materials you can process will depends on your manufacturing skill level AND the primary skill level (Smithing dan Carpenter).
Primary skill has the [ P ] logo as shown in the picture above.
Remember, primary skill need to be in the same level or higher than the manufacturing/refining skill.
There will be no point of having expert smelting and woodworking skill level but the smithing and carpenter skill level is amateur.
This statement is also valid to all other refining skill.
Only the basic skill to acquire the raw materials (mining/harvesting) that does not need primary skill.
