Gem cutting is one of the skill you can do in the game. It is one of the processing skills.
It is also the only way to get dull, charm, and magical ambers.
To do gem cutting, go to forest coordinate 046,039
- Click the NPC gem cutting inside Gems Workshop to teach gem cutting.
- You will get a beginner legend mark for gem cutting.
- Buy the wooden chisel.
Skill Mode
There is only AUTOMATIC method to do this.
The advantage of this method is you can leave your char (AFK). What you only need to do is stand and face the anvil with your wooden chisel equipped.
Press space bar and you will enter the automatic mode automatically.
If there is no empty place, this where the sticky paper (sold by the NPC) becomes handy. use the sticky paper by standing next to player/players and facing them.
You will approach him/her/them.
Your automatic mode will last depends on your tools and materials. A full 100% tool with 1800 durability will gives you 1850 seconds of automatic work.
While running out of materials, in this case amber, dark amber, white amber, and yellow amber, will stop your automatic mode abruptly.
If all 4 types of ambers are present in the inventory, it will automatically cut the lowest quality of basic materials, which is the "amber".
Yellow amber is the highest quality of the craft-able/cut-able ambers.
Dull Amber is not a basic material so it won't be affected.
Keep in mind that you need to switch between tools manually after the last one is broken. You can go AFK for eating or watching TV or doing something else with this method.
A single slot inventory can hold 10.000 amber for each type.
The Level
Beginner --> Specialization = 1.000 points
Specialization --> Trained = 2.500 points
Trained --> Great = 5.000 points
Great --> Talented = 7.500 points
Talented --> Skilled = 20.000 points
Skilled --> Professional = 45.000 points
Professional --> Expert = 70.000 points
Expert --> Master = 90.000 points
Though cutting yellow amber will give you the highest exp, low level of skill will tend to fail. In a fail cutting, the material will be lost.
And you will only get exp if the material was successfully cut into another type of amber, even the dull one.
The exp you gain is also depends on the item you get while cutting, example more exp if you get charm yellow amber than dull yellow amber.
The items you received, although random, will improves as your skill level progress. So a master level will definitely get more magical type than a beginner level given the same time.
Everytime you level up, the working exp resets back to 0.

You can sell those product directly to NPC in Kaming's Jewelry Collector (040,021) to NPC Jewelry Collector.
You can always sell the product to any buying player above the NPC price.
Maximized your profit by:
- Making "slave/s" char, since gem cutting is not limited by any level and class. All newly born peasant can do gem cutting.
- Multi windows/client (you can open multiple game windows with one computer). Make more "slaves" or simply make them work while you are hunting.
